Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Mattawa, Washington. However, my family is currently living in Othello, Washington.
What is your favorite thing about the College of Education?
My favorite thing about the College of Education is our teaching preparation program courses. All our courses are interactive and engaging. Not only are they super informative and relevant, but they are also fun and hands-on. I love that I don’t have to sit and get lectured, rather I have the opportunity to engage in discussion and apply my knowledge in practicum.
Why is being an ambassador for AFTOC important to you?
Being a student of color, it is a great accomplishment of mine to become an ambassador for AFTOC. It is important to be because I strive towards spreading awareness about diversity in the teaching profession and in the classroom.
What is one thing you want other people to know about AFTOC?
I want people to know that AFTOC helps people of all diverse backgrounds to succeed in their program and inspire other in any educational setting
What is one fun fact about you?
I had the amazing opportunity of studying abroad in Costa Rica.
