About Patrick

Patrick Ochieng is a Math and Science Education doctoral student at Washington State University, Pullman from Kenya. He has served as a research assistant and is currently a teaching assistant in the Department of Teaching and Learning. Having an undergraduate degree in science education he has served as a science educator for over eight years, teaching physics and chemistry in remotely located schools in Kenya.

With a convicted interest in improving science teacher preparation and instructional practices, He has taken special attention to finding ways of refining science teacher preparation in order to foster retention in service. Patrick is also an AAI-EADB science scholar and holds a master’s degree in science instruction from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He deeply cares about leveraging ideas applied in science learning environments.
