Was pursing this degree always your plan?
No, I originally wanted to pursue athletic training but then discovered my love for psychology. I then discovered sport and performance psychology is a career path I wished to pursue.

What is your favorite part of this program?
My favorite part of the program is the extracurricular activities offered. The Exercise Physiology and Performance lab is a wonderful opportunity to get hands on professional experience in leadership, project management, athletic testing, and training in tools used for health and wellness.

What is your dream job after college?
My dream job is to be a sport and performance psychologist for a Seattle Sports Team (Sounders, Seahawks, Mariners, Storm, Reign)

What are your future plans as you go through the program?
My future plan is to attend graduate school for further education and graduate from Washington State University in May 2018

What do you hope to get out of your career?
I want to help people realize their potential and climb over the obstacles that impede them reaching that potential. There are many limiting factors that prevent people from achieve or reaching the standards of what they want, I want to covey that everyone has potential to succeed no matter what and provide tools for that success.

Do you have any advice for incoming freshman pursuing this degree?
It is okay to not know what you want to do; ask question to your advisor and professors; Get to know your professors and pick their brain because they have already been where you are and succeeded.

What kind of extracurricular activities are you a part of?
I am part of the Project Coordinator for Exercise Physiology and Performance Lab, Kinesiology Ambassador for College of Education (COE), Research Assistant for the Psychology of Physical Activity Lab, Member of the Bruya-Wood Undergraduate Conference Committee, and Officer for the Kinesiology Club.
