Teacher To Be Tuesday: Adeline Arpin

Adeline Arpin – Elementary Education

Year in school: Junior

Hometown: Spokane, Washington

What are you studying (include minors if applicable)? Elementary Education with an endorsement in Middle Level Science

Why are you studying this? What do you hope to do with it after you graduate? I hope to become a kindergarten teacher because I have enjoyed building the foundations of students’ future learning. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I love working with kids!

Why did you choose WSU? WSU is close to home, which was a big reason, but I also think that the campus is beautiful, and the community is so uplifting and feels like a second home.

What’s been your favorite part of the WSU experience thus far? I have loved going to the football games and getting involved in the Pullman community as well as meeting lifelong friends.

What has been the biggest challenge so far? Learning how to live on my own as well as learn time management skills.

As a college, we’re focusing on our people being agents of change. What makes you an agent of change? I am committed to educating students on the information they will need to know in order to make change themselves while also building their confidence and understanding in all areas of learning.
