Teacher to Be Tuesday: Abigail Tait

Abigail Tait – Elementary Education

Year in school: Senior

Hometown: Lacey, Washington

Why are you studying Elementary Education? What do you hope to do with it after you graduate?

I have always had a love for working with kids. Growing up, I gained experience with teaching through working at a childcare and in my mom’s classroom. These experiences inspired me to go into the profession of teaching. I want to be an effective teacher and make a difference in my future students’ lives by being their support system they may not have at home.

I hope to become a teacher for elementary school students 🙂

Why did you choose WSU?

I chose WSU because of the community. When I first toured WSU’s campus, I fell in love with it. Everyone was so positive and kind. I knew this was the place I wanted to be!

What’s been your favorite part of the WSU experience thus far?

My favorite part of the WSU experience has been the WSU football games. I always enjoy being in the stadium with all the energy and excitement!
