Remembering Kelly…
While we already informally remember, mourn, and celebrate our friend and colleague Kelly Ward, formal proceedings have been scheduled.
Funeral Mass — August 3
The Funeral Mass for Kelly will be celebrated at 7 p.m. PDT at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pullman.
Celebration of Life — August 4
A celebration of Kelly’s life and legacy will be held at 2 p.m. PDT at the WSU campus in Pullman, in the Compton Union Building (CUB), in the M.G. Carey Senior Ballroom. A reception will follow at the Lewis Alumni Centre, also located at the WSU campus. In regards to this day… per Gene: “The events, and the day, will be a lot of things, but they won’t be dour. Dress for a summer celebration – wear something that would elicit Kelly’s praise – be colorful, be bold, be sassy (thanks, Lisa Laughter). Or as one of Jonathan Van Meter’s party invitations once read – Bring a look and work it!”

The Kelly Ward Legacy Fund has been established for the advancement of women faculty at Washington State University.
