Overview

The Washington Summer Transition Institute (WA-STI) is funded by the Washington Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (WA-DVR) and coordinated by Washington State University Research and Innovation in Special Education (WSU RISE). The event includes a series of transition-focused workshops, speakers, and opportunities for professional networking and planning. Participation is open to transition-focused practitioners from around the state, including special education teachers, school guidance counselors, CTE staff, school administrators, and WA-DVR staff.

Agenda

We are very excited for WA-STI 2023! This year’s programming will include transition-focused workshops, panels, speakers, and an opportunity for professional networking and planning.

Venue

The event will take place at the Wenatchee Convention Center, in downtown Wenatchee, WA. Meals listed on the agenda will be provided free of charge according to the information and accommodations you provided in your registration. Parking is available free of charge and the facility is ADA-accessible. The address to the venue is:

Lodging

Lodging is provided at the Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel. We have a master room list for the hotel using the information you provided in your registration (e.g., both nights, one night only, accommodation requests, etc.). All registered participants will be assigned a room at check-in.

The rooms are single occupancy. If you are planning on having more people stay in your room, there may be an additional fee for which you will be responsible. Free overnight parking is available for the hotel guests. This facility is ADA accessible.
