Emily Deen

Emily joined the College of Education as the Director of Field Services and Certification in October 2022. Emily earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho followed by a Master in Teaching degree from Washington State University. She comes to WSU following a career teaching elementary and middle school students in Virginia and Washington state. Along with her experience as a classroom educator and mentor teacher, Emily has served WSU students as an adjunct instructor and field supervisor for the Department of Teaching and Learning.

Emily’s husband, Nathan, is the Division Chief for the WSU Division of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. Their three children (Molly, Lily Kate, and Everett) attend Pullman Public Schools. Together they enjoy hiking, rafting, and playing games.
