Why did you choose WSU?
Washington State University has both of my big passions in life, dancing and teaching. Having the opportunity to be a member of the Crimson Girls dance team and the education program here at WSU is a dream come true. This school and the people in it make it feel like a home away from home!

What are you most passionate about when it comes to being a teacher?
Being a teacher comes with many positive benefits. One of the main benefits that helps continue my passion for teaching is the lasting impact that you can make on your students. I hope to in my future of teaching create a positive and safe environment inside of the classroom. Knowing that you can make a difference in someone while that being reciprocated by your students is powerful.

What/who inspired you to become a teacher?
All my past teachers, coaches and dance teachers have all made an impact on me and have inspired me to become a teacher! All their positivity and encouraging words have made me want to impact students of my own.

Where do you hope to go after graduation?
After I graduate, I hope to begin my teaching career while dancing professionally!

What is your favorite part of this program?
My favorite part of this program is the mass amount of knowledge I have already gained from the classes I have taken in block 1. Also, I am enjoying being in a classroom full of my classmates that share the same passion of teaching that I do.

Do you have any advice for incoming freshmen?
I would say to really enjoy your time spent in college. It truly does go by very fast! Take your time, make friends, join clubs, and get involved on campus. Do everything to make the best out of your college experience and don’t stress!
