Curriculum Vitae

Emma Ariyo’s scholarship and teaching focuses primarily on Sport management and society. Ms. Ariyo’s primary research interests encompass sport and politics in Africa, Black female athlete identity, and women in sport leadership. She will earn her doctorate in the Fall of 2021 from the University of Georgia. She earned an MBA from University of Bridgeport, Connecticut and a Master of Arts in Sport Management and policy from the University of Georgia. Ms. Ariyo’s teaching background stems from multiple universities across the US. She has worked in undergraduate and graduate teaching roles at the University of Georgia, Adelphi University, New York, and Gonzaga University.
