WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WSU?

I originally applied to WSU on a whim. My uncle graduated from WSU so I had heard about the Cougs my whole life. At first I had my heart set on Oregon State, but in the fall of my senior year I took a trip to visit both and I fell in love with WSU after one day on campus. I loved how the athletics were at the center(ish) of campus and everyone I met with (advisors and tour guides) were helpful and happy. At WSU I got to meet with Katy, who is the AT program director and we got to talk face-to-face, where at other schools I toured I was lucky if I got to meet with a Kinesiology advisor. WSU had a different atmosphere than anywhere I’d ever been, the entire town of Pullman is centered on the school and everywhere you go you run into someone you know.

ADVICE FOR INCOMING STUDENTS

Do your homework, get involved, network, prioritize, have fun, and most importantly, discover what you are passionate about. If you know that you want to do AT get into the classes as soon as possible. It is a three year program so if you want to graduate in four years you have to apply at the end of your freshman year. Go Cougs!
