On direct, noticeable benefit

It’s going to really benefit what I do because in the Clarkston School District, we’ve had an influx of Native students in recent years. I myself am Nez Perce. So I think it’s going to help us build better relationships with the students themselves, but also build better relationships within the school district as far as supporting Native students, working on the curriculum level, and integreting more culturally-relevant programs for the Native students we have.

On being a Coug

Being able to call myself a Coug and actually going to school here… that’s huge! I’m very excited! I’ve been a Coug fan my whole life. I’ve been an employee at WSU but stationed remotely, I didn’t have that sense of feeling part of the community. And now, I’m very excited I get to be an official Coug.
