Why she wants to teach

I love working with the kids. I’ve worked as a para (paraprofressional) for many years. I feel like now is the time to pursue being a teacher because I love working with the kids. I want to be that person for them.

On teaching for the kids

What I’ve seen in the classroom is mostly the teacher lack of passion, and lack of compassion, also, for the children. It seems like they’re just there to be there. I want to be there for the kids… to be that someone for them… to be that light that they can relate to, especially with the Native kids.
