Getting to Know You: Madison Pap

Madison Pap – Secondary Mathematics

Year in school: senior

Hometown: Lynden, Washington

Why are you studying Secondary Mathematics? What do you hope to do with this after you graduate?

I love math and hope to use this degree to become a high school math teacher back in my hometown.

Why did you choose WSU?

Close yet far enough from home to do my own thing and meet new people. Also, Pullman is a small town atmosphere I’m used to.

What has been your favorite WSU experience thus far?

The community is so kind and cares about everyone in it.

What’s been the biggest challenge?

Trying to make friends freshman year and of course having school online due to COVID.

As college, we’re focusing on our people being agents of change. What makes you an agent of change?

I think I am an agent of change because no matter the person, I am always there to help. I love being there for others and I want them to know they are never alone, especially at WSU.
