Why do you want to become a teacher?
Becoming a teacher is the most rewarding profession there is. There is no greater feeling of satisfaction than when you are working with a student and the light bulb goes off above their head when they finally understand the material. This is important, but to me being a teacher means so much more than just educating students in academic content. As an aspiring teacher, I want to provide my students with knowledge they will carry for the rest of their lives, and at the same time, help my students become the best version of themselves they can be. In order to do this, I plan on teaching my students valuable life lessons about kindness and the importance of helping others. I hope to inspire my students to become what they want to be in life, and also instill the confidence in them to believe in their capabilities no matter how difficult life can get. Every student deserves to know that they are enough in this world and they are all special in their own way.

What are you most passionate about when it comes to being a teacher?
I am most passionate about creating a safe classroom for my students, one where they know they can come in and feel accepted and cared for by everyone else in the room. What students learn in school is so important, but there is also so much more to life. I am passionate about helping my students learn to accept and celebrate the fact that everyone comes from different backgrounds, and that no matter what race, culture, or family background people come from, everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness. Teachers have the ability to help students see this, and can help students learn to become a friend towards all. This is my biggest goal as a teacher.
