Why did you choose Washington State University?
I chose to attend Washington State University because their Sport Management program is well known and I wanted to pursue my degree in a sport related field of study.

Was pursing this degree always your plan?
After finishing my degree at my community college, yes. I planned on attending a university that offered a degree in a sport related field.

What is your favorite part of this program?
The hands-on experience in working/volunteering with local government, non-profit, and intercollegiate sports. The staff and faculty are also so helpful! They really want you to succeed in this program and go above and beyond to help a student out.

What is your dream job after college?
My dream job after college is to gain a management position any sport related department such as; government, non-profit, or intercollegiate sports.

Do you have any advice for incoming freshman pursuing this degree?
I would advise them to build a strong relationship with staff, faculty, and classmates because not only will they help you succeed, but also help direct you in the path for your future job.

Who motivates you as a student?
My family in California and in Mexico motivate me as a student to continue my education and work hard for a better way of living.

What kind of extracurricular activities are you a part of?
Currently the only extracurricular activities that I am a part of are being on an intramural soccer team. If time allows, I would like to get involved with the Sport Management Club and other clubs around campus as well.
