Why do you want to become a teacher?
I want to become a teacher because teachers can have such a positive impact on the lives of young people. I am very dedicated and excited to be a teacher because I believe so much in the capabilities of students.

What are you most passionate about when it comes to being a teacher?
I am most passionate about students with disabilities and helping them shine through focusing on their abilities not what sets them apart from others!

What/who inspired you to become a teacher?
In high school, I was a part of an inclusive club with students with disabilities that opened my eyes and heart to a new passion! I knew I had to live a life where I was constantly surrounded by these amazing people who taught me so much; therefore, I felt the career path of being a special education teacher would be perfect for me.

What do you hope to achieve in this career?
I hope to become a teacher that brightens student’s days every time they walk into my classroom! I want to build relationships and grow with my students while pushing them to be the most successful student they can be.

What impact do you hope to make on your future students?
I hope to make my students understand that learning is fun and exciting while inspiring them through positivity and hard work. It is important for me to remind them that anything is possible if you just believe in yourself.

What is your favorite part of this program?
My favorite part of the program is meeting so many remarkable professors and classmates who have so much talent and teach me amazing new things every day!

Do you have any advice for incoming freshmen?
Have fun with everything! Don’t stress too much because you are here for a reason and capable of great things, so keep smiling and stay passionate!
