Monica McNamara has contributed to the sport community in a variety of ways for many years. Whether it was a student athlete, coach, developing and managing learn to swim programs, assisting and implementing sport events, or pursuing her undergraduate degree; Monica uses the opportunities in the sport industry to continue to be a contributing member of the Sport Management Department at WSU.

Monica is currently working towards an M.A in Sport Management from Washington State University’s College of Education. She hails from the San Francisco Bay Area, where she was born and raised. Monica developed her love for sport when she was just six years old when she first learned to swim and while attending PAC-12 sporting events as a toddler. She is currently a teaching assistant for SPMGT 101 and uses her background and diverse experiences to relate to current events and issues in sport.

Monica completed her undergraduate degree at WSU in the Spring of 2018 and fully embraces what it means to be a “COUG”.

Monica plans to graduate May 2020.
