Bruya-Wood URC Dress Code

Bruya-Wood URC Dress Code

Dress for Success!

The dress code for the conference is Business Professional.  Please respect the professional tone of the event.  It is an expectation that all participants (presenters and student judges) practice professionalism, including attire.  You will not be eligible for the scholarship award, credit for class, etc. if your attire does not match the occasion.  Please don’t stop this from being your authentic self.  Our goal is not to stifle who you are, but create an atmosphere/tone of academic professionalism so your presentations can shine!

General guidelines:  dress for a professional interview

  • Lean toward conservative
  • Neutral colors
  • No baggy pants
  • Closed toe professional shoes (no stilettos/platform heels)
  • You will be standing for over two hours, brand new shoes may be uncomfortable
  • Hair styled so eyes are visible
  • No wrinkled clothing
  • No jeans
  • Collared shirts and blouses are preferred
  • Jewelry should not make noise with movements that might hide your voice while speaking (ex:  bracelets jingling)
