Professional Certification (ProCert) Program

WSU’s ProCert Program, coordinated through the School & Community Collaboration Center in the College of Education, strives to provide a quality personal and professional growth experience that builds upon a solid base of knowledge and experience, provides guidance and mentoring, requires reflection and analysis, and results in the ability to demonstrate the skills and competencies that lead to Professional Certification.

Any teacher who currently holds a valid Washington Residency Teacher Certificate and has completed provisional status with a Washington public or approved private school should work toward their Professional Teacher Certificate.

There are two ways to move to the Professional Certificate.

  1. Enroll and complete a Washington approved ProCert Program
  2. Successfully complete National Board for Professional Teaching Standards »

WSU’s ProCert Program can be completed online or on-campus in Spokane, Tri-Cities or Vancouver. Teachers interested in attending an on-campus program should contact the specific campus.
