College of Education

Research

Welcome and introduction

Are taxpayers getting the biggest bang for the bucks they’re investing in programs to help children succeed?  Are university degree programs designed in the best possible way to launch professional careers? Never have such questions received more attention, and answers been more urgently needed. That’s where Mike Trevisan and Brian French come in. The College of Education faculty members direct our Learning & Performance Research Center. The center produces solid information about what works, and what doesn’t, in the preparation of students from kindergarten through college.

Our National Aquatic & Sports Medicine Institute, directed by Research Professor Bruce Becker and Assistant Professor Kasee Hildenbrand, conducts cutting-edge research into the health effects of aquatic activity and the most efficient ways of using aquatic activity in sports training, rehabilitation and health maintenance.

Trevisan, French, Becker and Hildenbrand are just four of the many researchers at the College of Education whose work provides answers to some of the most critical educational questions of our day. They work on each of our four campuses, and are networked throughout the country and the world.  Their expertise ranges from school reform to Native American education, from athletic training to multicultural counseling. Use the links below to learn more about the work of our faculty, and to find their contact information.
