Student Recruitment & Retention

Welcome and overview

Sarah PenneyBy Sarah Penney,
Director

The Office of Recruitment and Retention seeks to create and maintain a multicultural community by identifying and recruiting talented individuals to the various programs offered by the WSU College of Education.  We provide retention activities that academically, socially, and professionally support the educational and professional goals of students in the College of Education.

Recruitment events

The College of Education participates in numerous recruitment events targeting incoming freshmen from Washington State and the surrounding areas.  The College of Education also participates in targeted recruitment activities designed to recruit students from underrepresented groups, including low-income and first-generation populations.

The College of Education also hosts visitation days each fall and spring for students interested in learning more about the graduate programs offered at the College of Education.  Students have an opportunity visit with faculty from their program of interest, talk to current COE graduate students, attend informational sessions, and begin the application process.

For more information on upcoming events, email coe_recruitment@wsu.edu or visit the College's online calendar.
