Block III – T&L 490
The Advanced Practicum, T&L 490, is particularly important as it comes immediately before student teaching. The experience provides the following for the preservice teachers:
- Allows preservice teachers to learn about and experience the culture of schools and the everyday life of classrooms, teachers, and children;
- Provides preservice teachers with opportunities to practice their teaching and classroom management skills by teaching lessons and planning with cooperating teachers;
- Offers preservice teachers the experiences that will enhance their potential for a successful and productive student teaching experience.
