Jill Homme advises graduate education students in the Master of Education program, the Administrative Credential program, and the Doctor of Education program, as well as teachers pursuing additional endorsements and professional certification. She serves as a liaison for students as they navigate graduate requirements of the Vancouver Education Department, WSU College of Education, and the Graduate School. She was chair of the marketing task force for the Education Department, served as a member of the Recruitment, Retention and Enrollment Subcommittee for WSU-Vancouver’s Diversity Council, co-launched the Peer Mentorship Program and currently serves with the WSU Commission on the Status of Women.
Jill Homme completed her Master of Public Affairs with research in public policy and early childhood education. She was a Regents Scholar and received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (pre-law) from the University of California. Prior to this she was a National Merit Scholar at Pepperdine University. She chairs the Board for Educational Opportunities for Children and Families, the largest provider of early childhood services in Southwest Washington. She has served on the board for the Vancouver Counseling Center and is a graduate of Leadership Clark County. She was trained as a mediator for the City of Vancouver, and is a certified facilitator.
