Research interests

The focus of Terrell Young’s scholarship is literature-based practices in elementary and secondary classrooms. His particular interests are English language learners, struggling readers, content literacy, and comprehension.

Teaching/professional interests

Young teaches a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses in Children’s Literature and Reading. Prior to his university experience, Young taught elementary students in Wyoming, Utah, and Venezuela for twelve years.
