Research interests
Leadership and organizations, school as community,
moral leadership and ethics. Professor Furman’s
current projects include a co-edited book (with Fenwick
English) on Scientific Research in Educational
Leadership: Problems, Paradoxes, and
Possibilities.
Teaching/professional interests
Professor Furman teaches Values and Ethics in
Educational Leadership, Leadership Development seminar,
Community and Communications, Qualitative Research
Methods, and Doctoral Dissertation Preparation. In the
past she taught Special Education for K-12.
