Research interests
Phyllis Erdman has been conducting research linking
family systems and attachment theory. She is currently
working on a book with Kok-Mun Ng, University of North
Carolina-Charlotte on cross cultural applications of
attachment theory.
Teaching/professional interests
Erdman is the chair of the Department of Educational
Leadership and Counseling Psychology for all four WSU
campuses. Erdman’s professional interest is
marriage and family therapy. Erdman has taught graduate
courses in this field, along with general counseling,
and supervision. Currently she is not teaching, but is
interested in marriage and family therapy and clinical
supervision, and working with parent/child relationship
issues.
