David Brunner is a doctoral candidate in sports ethics.
In addition to teaching in the WSU Athletic Training
Program, he is an adjunct lecturer in the Health,
Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance Department at
the University of Idaho, where he also coaches
football. His interest is assisting in the development
and delivery of intervention programs designed to
improve moral reasoning in football athletes.
Brunner is former head football coach at High Schools
in Charleston, South Carolina, and Raleigh, North
Carolina. He holds degrees from N.C. State University
(1977) in industrial management and the University of
North Carolina (1994) in mid-career education. He is
married and has four children.
