Robert Owens is pursuing a doctorate degree in educational psychology. He is a research assistant in the Learning & Performance Research Center, where his focus is on program evaluation. His research interests include prevention and community programs.

He earned a B.A. in psychology from Idaho State University, and an M.A. in Human Development at Washington State University. Before coming to WSU he worked with children and adults with mental disabilities.
